
Eric Wilson, Ph.D.
Dr. Eric Wilson is a recognized advocate in online education and artificial intelligence, with more than two decades of experience advancing digital learning in higher education. He was among the original members of the Distance Education team at the Coast Community College District, where he supported Orange Coast College and Golden West College in their transition from Moodle and Blackboard to Canvas.
Throughout his career, Dr. Wilson has combined academic achievement with professional service. He earned both an M.S.Ed. and an MBA, and later achieved professorial status at Purdue University Global (formerly Kaplan University). He holds a Doctorate in Psychology and Education from Grand Canyon University.
Currently, Dr. Wilson serves as a Lead Trainer and Support Specialist at Coast, providing certified training and advocacy through California Virtual Campus, CVC @ One, and is a certified Peer Online Course Reviewer for the POCR Program. At Orange Coast College, he also teaches in both the Computer Higher Technology and Adult Education programs as a part-time faculty member.
Beyond the classroom, Dr. Wilson is an active presenter at statewide and national conferences, including the Online Teaching Conference and the Drivers of Educational Technology in California Higher Education (DET/CHE). His work continues to focus on integrating technology, accessibility, and AI to create inclusive, effective learning environments.
